A friend just spotted this mural near Kharkiv's Sportivnaya metro stop. What do you think of it?
- Andrea from Let's Explore Kyiv pointed out that this new mobile app lets you track down the city's brightest and coolest murals.
- You can already take a walking tour of Kyiv's street art.
- Are murals "less Soviet" than mosaics? (And speaking of mosaics, here is a great guide to old Soviet mosaics in Dnipro.)
- Ukraine's top 10 murals. Ура! Kharkiv takes spot #3!

All about that cat mural! lol!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah!
DeleteDo you see any interesting street art in your village? Or during shopping trips in other cities?
I need to go to Kiev and I need to get that mobile app. So cool. I'm surprised the amount of murals there are in post-Soviet cities. I feel like they wouldn't be places to have them, but someone told me they are to cover up the cracks on the concrete buildings, so I guess they are practical.
ReplyDeleteDoes Cleveland have a lot of murals? Portland has just a few and they're kind of weird, like a giant banana. I much prefer Ukraine's versions! ;)
