Too bad we couldn't meet up in Kiev this month! :p
Lena, I was wondering- what are the sidewalks like in your town right now? In Kharkov, older men clear the sidewalks in some places by using a hoe to break the ice and push it off the side into a pile. A lot of the sidewalks are just neglected though. In Alaska we had similar weather conditions but the city purchased machines to clear all of the sidewalks, probably afraid that if someone fell and injured themselves that the city would get sued. Does anyone take care of the sidewalks in your town?
Yes, you've got such an awesome trip coming up! If you just stay focused on that, the month will probably speed by for you. Btw, are you back in Kharkov already?
I just got back last night. It's so great to be back! The excitement of being back in Kharkov is actually what I am hoping will stave off the February gloom, but the trip coming up certainly helps too!))
I totally agree, Katya! February is always so boring anf gloomy...
