He got to celebrate in style with his favorite toy.
Shoes.
I think he would have preferred old shoes (more interesting smells) but uh, no. He has to play by human rules, even on his birthday, and the humans aren't going to cuddle a creature that was just cuddling a dirty shoe. He got over it pretty quickly, anyway-
We forgot his last couple of birthdays- oops- but let's be honest, he's a cat.
He expects to get treated like every day is his birthday.
