NOLA nightwalk
On the final evening in New Orleans, after the expo had ended and we had packed away everything in the booth, my brother and I walked through the city at twilight. Final destination- a Thai restaurant with good reviews. Our foodie, Greg, had already caught a flight back to his family so we actually had to Google where to go that night (instead of "Greg" where to go).

Xponential 2016
New Orleans was a lucky break. My brother and his friend recently started a company and they needed an extra person to help out at a trade show. They kindly overlooked my total lack of engineering qualifications and, whoo-hoo!, there was a ticket to New Orleans in my inbox!
Although the expo was only for 3 days, we spent almost a week there. There was the set-up, the break-down, the networking events, and the city itself to see.

13 cool things about New Orleans
This week I've been in a brand-new city: New Orleans! It's supposedly a business trip, but you know how those things go- there's always a little extra time for play. Here are a few of the things that I'll remember this city for...
#1. Farm-raised alligator.
Available to eat, well, everywhere. There's even alligator beef jerky in the convenience stores.#2. Booze, costumes, palm trees, and more booze.
It feels like the Las Vegas of the south.
#3. The music...
... is everywhere!
