Kharkiv in the snow

This is what it looks like in Kharkiv right now.

A traveling friend just sent along these pictures after a day of walking the city's snowy streets. It's so pretty- take a look!

The church on the hill above Sarzhine Yar...

Two guys who aren't afraid of the cold...

Barabashova market in winter mode...

The view from a coffee shop...

A new "selfie sign" that opened near Barabashova this spring...

Preparations for battle...

Which picture is your favorite? I like those snowballs ;)

PS: Thank you for the photos, M! Seems like Kharkiv will get even more snow later this week- stay warm!

  1. I like the church on a hill! It reminds me of Kazan Kremlin.

    1. It really is, Mark! Are you thinking of visiting Kharkiv on your next trip? I love your 'Top Reasons to Visit Ukraine' post :) I'd like to visit some of the smaller places you visited!

    2. Thank you and we are always considering another trip to Ukraine but we aren't very good with cold weather I'm afraid so we will wait until early summer. We will certainly visit Kharkiv on our next trip though!

  3. Hi there! I just discovered your blog a few days ago and I've enjoyed reading it. This is my first trip to the Ukraine (from South Carolina) and I am actually in Kharkiv right now. I do miss Odessa though. It was so warm.

Thanks again for all your writings.
